System requirements

The following system requirements are for the installation and the running of a system based on Tiny Marbles CMS essential:

  • Operating systems: Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server, Linux, Unix
  • Java JRE 6
  • Databases, default: MySQL 5x with InnoDB
  • Other databases: MSSQL 2008 R2 Express, MSSQL 2008 R2, Oracle (Oracle: not tested yet). Databases have to support at least ‚Foreign Keys' and ‚Transactions'
  • Webserver: Apache, IIS 7x
  • Java-Applicationserver: TomCat 5.5 and higher, Jetty, WebSphere (WebSphere: not tested yet)
  • SMTP-Server
  • FFmpeg
  • CPU: at least Dual-Core (test environment), Quad-Core (productive environment)
  • RAM: at least 4 GB (test environment), 8GB (productive environment)
  • Hard disc: at least 100 GB, better more in case of intensive usage of image library (images, MP3 files, video files)
